Our Story

Our Story

Students are constantly under pressure to achieve. They are all at once pressured to get good grades, figure out what to do for a career, get involved in extracurriculars, take care of their families, and take care of themselves. These already challenging expectations are made even more difficult to meet due to obstacles arising from socio-cultural pressures, poverty, disease, disability, race/gender/sexual orientation-based discrimination, and other factors.

Having worked in several educational capacities around the world, and having interacted directly with a diversity of students from the high school level on up to the graduate school level, our team has had ample opportunities to observe the different types of pressures students experience firsthand. And it is from these firsthand experiences, as well as from extensive research into literature surrounding the impacts of mentorship, that we have seen just how far students and young adults can go when provided with sincere and individualized support from people who care.

This is why we founded Me.Mentor in 2019 and have been working ever since to uplift all students and young adults through increased access to mentorship.
